MT-Podcast is a subscription based online Podcasting service.

How does it work?

MT Podcast works by allowing Podcast producers to create an online account to subscribe to MagneticTime's MT Podcasting service. Users can select one of 3 levels of subscription:-

Users should subscribe to the package that best fits their podcasting requirements. Users can upgrade anytime if their demand outstrips the requirements of their package. Additionally, should you require a tailored package to suit your requirements you may contact us directly to arrange a quotation.

Once you have selected your Monthly package and generated your account you can start uploading documents straight away. Your documents may be Word, Plain Text or PDF. The quickest method of doing this is via e-mail and we will set you up with a unique e-mail address to which to send your documents, and from which you will receive your podcasts.

The Podcasting process itself is fully automated, although our QA team fully check each Podcast prior to release. The length of time it takes is dependant on the size of the podcast itself, but the speed of our process means that the creation itself (text to speech portion) is done quicker than real-time i.e. faster than the actual duration of the podcast.

What do I receive?

On completion of the Podcast, we will return your podcast via e-mail to the address supplied by you. The content of the index files associated with the podcast is managed by us, so no technical knowledge of how a podcast works is required. Shortly, you will be able to upload podcasts to your web server directly from within the application.

What size are the files I will receive?

Our text-to-speech engine is highly efficient, producing MP3 files that are 3 to 4 times smaller in size than equivalent music MP3s. Thus, the files are many times smaller than what you would record normally. Typically, a 25 minute podcast will be about 4MBs.
